Schools worse off under Labor PDF Print E-mail

It has come to the attention of the FREE AUSTRALIA PARTY that an Eastern Fleurieu Multi Campus School is actually $2.2 million dollars worse off under the so called “Building Education Revolution” (BER) headed by Julia Gillard, and backed by Jane Lomax-Smith.  This is because these geographically separate campuses are not being treated as individual entities, with each entitled to their own separate BER funding.  Instead what is occurring is that the seven separate campuses in four country towns are being lumped together and funded as a single entity school, thereby actually taking money away from them.  In effect, this prevents these campuses from servicing the children which attend these schools in a manner which lives up to the ideals put forth under Labor’s “education revolution”.
One has to ask why this is occurring when a school with a similar Multi Campus format in Kangaroo Island is granted individual funding for each of their campuses.  The FREE AUSTRALIA PARTY considers this to be an inequality that needs to be addressed immediately, given the population that accesses the Eastern Fleurieu Multi Campus School
